AFC Corsham is thrilled to announce a game-changing development for our club and the wider community the planned construction of a full-sized 3G floodlit football pitch at Leafy Lane Playing Fields!

This facility will provide our players, coaches, and community with a state-of-the-art, all-weather training and match venue, ensuring year-round access to high-quality football.

This project has been identified as a top priority for Corsham in Wiltshire Council’s recent Playing Pitch Strategy, supported by Sport England and the Football Foundation. Now, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make it happen but we need your help!

Why This Matters

As one of the fastest-growing grassroots football clubs in the region, AFC Corsham now has:

• 38 teams, including 4 girls-only sides
• 580+ players, with growth of 50% in just four years
• Plans to introduce 5 more girls teams and launch a Pan-Disability squad

Our teams currently train across multiple venues, including Leafy Lane, Springfield Leisure Centre, and Chippenham Rugby Club facilities that are either oversubscribed or unsuitable for winter football. A full-sized 3G pitch will solve this problem, providing a safe, floodlit, and consistent training space for players of all ages and abilities.

This facility won’t just benefit AFC Corsham. It will be available for use by:

• Local schools and community groups
• Other grassroots sports clubs, including Corsham Rugby Club
• Health and fitness initiatives for all ages

Together, we can create a lasting legacy for Corsham, supporting the future of football and ensuring every player has the opportunity to train and compete at their best.

The total cost of the project is £1 million, with 75% already secured through the Football Foundation. However, we need to raise £250,000 in local partnership funding to unlock this investment and bring the pitch to life.
